NDA (National Defense Academy) Exam pattern
If you are planning to start your preparation to join the National Defense Academy or Naval Academy, then you must know the pattern to be followed for the UPSC NDA Exam. NDA exam consists of two papers- General Aptitude and Mathematics; for which the written exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Candidates must be aware of the exam pattern of the exam. The exam pattern is as follows:

- Type of Questions: There are objective-type MCQ questions in both question papers.
- Duration of the exam: The exam will be 2:30 hours in duration.
- The question booklets for both papers will be bilingual, i.e. in both English and Hindi.
- Question Paper 1: Only Mathematics questions are asked in Paper I with a total of 120 questions, 2.5 marks are awarded for each correct answer and one-third mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
- Question Paper 2 is divided into two parts, in the first part 50 questions of English are asked and in the second part 100 questions of general knowledge are asked covering various subjects, 4 marks for each correct answer are awarded and marks are deducted for one-third the wrong answer.
