We know that Tense is the form of a verb in a sentence which reveals the sorts of the relation between work done and time; in a sense of Present, Past, and Future, like The work is happening at the present time, work was done in the past time, or A work will be done in the future time,
So the Tense has three types
- Present Tense
- Past Tense
- Future tense,
Rules of Present tense -Friends, Present action of work is the action of Present Tense, it has four types of sub-branches,
(1). Present indefinite Tense–
We do use this rule when a certain work takes place at present time, like, He goes to market, I go to my office Daily, Please note that we always make the sentence in present tense when there are the following conditions below-
- Regular action of work – (You go to school Daily)
- Irregular action – (Fluids come in India).
- Universal truth – (The Sun rises in the East,)
- Habits – (I Drink water daily.)
Structure rule for Present indefinite tense - Subject + V1+s/es +object +other words
Note-Newspaper headlines and Cricket commentary have been used with the rule of Present indefinite tense,
For interrogative sentence - Do/does +SUBJECT+ V1+ OBJECT ,For example - Do they visit the market ?.
Does he play cricket?.
Note-2, Friends, S/es comes with a verb depending upon Singular Subject, if Subject is singular then you can use S/ES in keeping with the v1, for example –
Sita Sings a Song, They go to market, He goes to market, Check the 1st sentence includes a Subject (SITA) which is a Singular person, thus S is used with V1, while in 2nd sentence, Subject (They) is plural, so S/es is not used with They, similarly 3rd sentence has a Singular subject thus ES used,
- Example- Ram eats a mango ( Subj+v1+s+ obj) – Correct ,
- They goes to market ( Subj+v1+obj..) – Incorrect , so the correct is – They go to market,
