Salary approx Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/-. The grade pay and paid salary are quite different in different states. Most BDOs recruited in difficult areas are comparatively paid slightly more than BDOs placed in general areas.
- So The minimum pay scale starts from Rs. 9300/- for BDO at district level. The highest pay scale for BDO can go up to Rs. 34, 800/- per month, excluding grade pay and perquisites.
- Experienced officers are given higher pay scales. On the other hand fresher officers get salaries much less than Rs. 34, 800/-. A BDO gets an average salary of Rs 1 lakh. 10, 790/- to Rs. 18,000/- per month.
BDO Allowances and Benefits
BDOs are given various allowances based on the location of the job, the expenses incurred and the inflation in the economy. Allowances make the salary structure of BDOs attractive.
- DA: dearness allowance is being paid to BDO. 113% of the basic pay of the officers is being given as DA.
- HRA: House Rent Allowance is another fixed allowance which is paid to BDOs of any level.
- MA: Medical allowances are also an important part of allowances is given to BDOs against any kind of medical condition.
- Pension: After retirement, BDO gets pension and other facilities.
